I brought my wife in to a local emergency room recently. Her symptoms made her irrational, unstable, incoherent and moody. She could barely walk or talk. I believe it is due to a tick bite.
The ER doctor stated she was in a unstable mental state.
When she went for testing she told someone there she wanted to be left alone, no visitors and release no information.
I was told to leave. They will not give me any information and I can not see her.
She is not making rational decisions so I believe, as next of kin, I should be in charge.

Do I have any rights? She could be dying and I wouldn't know right now.
I have no idea how to handle this, anyone I call blows me off with 'I can't discuss it with you'.

You need a lawyer. Now.

Find someone who has experience in health law.
