I went to my medical clinic today and I was given GasX and told to use an Enima. I'm still feeling really bad. Tomorrow I see my doctor to get a referral for a GI.

I'm currently in a lot of pain from gas and constipation build up. This is the second time in 4 months I had this issue. My mom had me try tumeric and some natural stuff. I know it takes a couple hours, but man I am in so much pain from cramping and bloating.

The x-ray showed more gas than constipation but thats probably because it was in the morning and I hadnt eaten much.

I feel like taking the saline laxative again tonight. I'm 27 and male if that helps. Anyone else have this issue or have any suggestions? I didn't work today and I'm using paid sick time tomorrow. I also am on Medical and been at my part time for six months. Im thinking I need to find a full-time job with insurance now.

OP: You can't let this go on. You've got to get regular. We have a lot of posts about this issue and you can search for some of them.

Firstly, lots of greens, veggies, fiber rich foods and WATER, plenty of clean water. Warmer water is best vs cold water and drinks. Cold drinks constricts everything. Gotta keep things moving.

My advice and it's mine, stay away from sugars and carbs. Refined products.

Learn to work with magnesium and I do that a lot and I'm 80, and have had issues in my long life. Extra Vit C thru the day is on my list too. Don't get there...get smart and eat properly and get moving too, walking and some kind of exercise.

Others will offer opinions, but this is my start. There is so much info online, none of us need to be backed up and so constipated.

Did you try castor oil? That worked for someone I knew.

Metamucil (or psylium husk fiber) and lots of water -- like 100 oz of water.

Maybe try the pre-colonoscopy process to clean things out (ask the google).

To me it sounds like OP needs to be on good foods and then if the OP is taking meds, they can do a job on us. And a lot of meats can clog one up.

Start taking 400 mg magnesium before you go to bed each night. If one doesn't work, take two the next night. Take 3 the next day until it works. Just make sure you are near a bathroom in the morning. I suffered from lifelong constipation until I discovered this while on chemo.

Laxatives will tear up your colon. You don't want to be taking them much.
