I don't know what goes into the processing of frozen fries but you can buy a decent brand of frozen fries and air fry them.



I would think restaurants would soon turn to air frying.



Air frying at least cuts out the oil. Haven't tried air frying raw potatoes but you can can control salt and oil doing it.

I think frozen potatoes are par boiled some and then flash frozen. May try this at home using the long potatoes in the package. I like my fries and 6 at a time is a joke.

I think you're right and likely no additives. There are also sweet potato fries. Yeah, I generally drop more than six on the floor. I really don't need the salt but I'm gonna use it.
