Well, one thing the members here can be sure is that they are protected with what their doctors tell them to do. This is good for them and their chances of contracting the flu.

Only person I know with a confirmed case is my neighbor and this is the first year she got the vaccine. But she was also outside digging in her yard the next day. So not sure how her case was actually "confirmed." Although I guess if it was confirmed it was counted.

Other than that I know of no other cases.
But we are kept being told how fearful we should continue to be....stay in that fear mode. Fear alone can break down the immune system.

Absolutely no one is telling anyone to be fearful, they are reporting facts on the current flu season.

There seem to be two camps: One that believes mainstream media and swallows "directions" whole, and the other that is more discerning and able to see the bigger picture (including motives).
How about a 3rd camp? One that sees both sides and does what they need to whether that is mainstream or alternative?
My daughter needed to see a doctor the other day. The student health center didn't have any appointments available for several days, CVS Minute Clinic had only one available the next day and a 3 hour wait for walk-ins. Another Urgent Care had no appointments and an unknown wait-time. She did not have the strength to wait that long.
Fortunately she found a brand new urgent care nearby that had a five minute wait. The first thing they checked her for was the flu, even though she had an annual vaccine. It was negative and her lungs were clear (the purpose of the visit). I just can't believe how crowded the doctor's offices are this late in the season.
