1% is pretty darn good odds. The vaccine won’t work for everyone either. There’s. No evidence yet that the vaccine will protect anyone other then the person who gets it.

People with weakened or immunocompromised immune systems are not even eligible for the vaccine at this point. They may never be eligible; that remains to be deterimined. In any case, they will have to wait longer to get it.
According to you, 20 percent are going to the hospital needlessly and another 10 percent are being seen by clinics and doctors on an outpatient basis for no reason.

Once the body builds up the antibodies in the first month, they should be able to go out and do things in public like forming a Conga line (see story about Republicans getting sick ).

Like I said, there is no way to know whether you will be in the 1% or not. Your personal number is either 100& (you get it) or 0% (you do).

There is evidence from studies with non-human primates that indicates the two mRNA vaccines will prevent transmission. AstraZenica has some data that says its vaccine will.

This is the best explanation on transmission I have seen so far.

This is not a surprise and much preferable to being hospitalized and having a ventilator tube stuck down your throat. Please report on your nurse friend's condition on Tuesday.

62% is still very good.
And that will go up to 70% - 80% after the second dose.

I find it disturbing, that even after all of the publicity, most people seem to think the vaccines prevent you from getting Covid. They do not. They claim to reduce the severity of the illness.

You still need to mask up and social distance.

It's not the panacea you think it is.

I don’t eat or drink much processed stuff but that is very interesting information and I appreciate you sharing it.
I’ve had my levels tested in the past year and am low/normal, so do supplement.

If you are not convinced with vaccine sales pitch, here's something that been around for years and years - and works.

The vaccines do prevent COVID-19. The question has been whether they prevent infection or just symptoms.

Moderna has released info on asymptomatic infection which shows the number of those was low in both the vaccinated and unvaccinated groups, though higher in those who did not get the vaccine. See page 6.

Of course they do. The vaccines that have been approved have been given to thousands of people, and then those people were watched to see what happened. So yeah, they have a darn good idea "what those vaccines will do or not do."
