What is your "melting" point? (how hot before you sweat)
For me, its in the high 70s if I dont exert myself. Right now its 80.5 in my bedroom and im all hot and uncomfortable and lightly sweating, but not dripping with sweat. I dont want any temperature above 77 degrees and preferably I want temperatures between 40 and 65 degrees. I can always dress for the cold but sweating "melting" is the only way to cool me from the heat
im like frosty (the snowman) , feel like im melting in hot temperatures, even in maine, we get some temps in the 90's in the summer, usually its very humid, too....id rather it be 60 degrees!
It was 72 and exceptionally humid when I went to bed last night. MIL did not want the AC, so I suffered. I can handle 72, but when the humidity is much over 60% I have a hard time.
The heat index has to be 100 F before I might sweat noticeably.
I don't mind sweating most of the time, so even this is good.
However if it's extremely humid and no breeze, there's a chance I could sweat at 75 F without exertion. That doesn't feel hot, just sticky. Sometimes I can feel sticky and chilly at the same time in air like that.
For indoor air, after I spend about a week or two acclimatizing to higher humidity, I can sleep under the covers with my ceiling fan in comfort at 82 F, even without A/C making the air in my room like 70% humidity.
Think in terms of metric...the numbers aren't so big
Why don't you get a job and buy a window air conditioner for yourself ??
Constantly complaining online about the heat in Fl. will NEVER change the temperature of your bedroom. Actually if you turn your computer OFF your bedroom temp will go down slightly.
Save up and buy an A/C and be quiet already. I'm sorry to be mean, but seriously, nobody cares anymore! WE KNOW IT'S HOT IN WEST PALM BEACH! Get over it, please.
I really don't like heat too much, yet Florida is on my list of possible relocations. The problem I have with heat is not the heat itself, but the bugs it brings. I love short sleeves, swimming, waterparks (warm weather stuff) but not the bugs that come with it.
