I live in Canada but may move to US. I am wondering if parents have to pay for baby's shots in US? If the baby is a perminant resident, do they treat them as same as citizen or differently?

Thanks,

Thanks,
If the child has insurance it should cover most of the cost.
You can also go to a public hospital and get it the shot really cheap compared to private practice.

The Health Department in most states provides free immunizations.

Thanks! They may provide it for residents, I guess...
I was thinking having a baby in Canada and after that stay in US for about a year, so I am concerning the baby's immunizations. It's not practical that I have to fly back to Canada when baby needs immunization...

That's not logical. You'd spend hundreds of dollars on airfare to get a vaccination that would cost much less if given in the US just to get the vaccination gratis?

You can get them very cheap at Health departments. They often have vaccine clinics that offer them for free...you just need to find them.

Actually I have no idea how much that costs. We pay high tax here, so don't pay that.
