Please be careful with the radioactive iodine treatment. It is not an exact science and you could end up with hypothyroidism. I had the treatment about 7 years ago, and if I had to do it again, I would have them halve the dosage. I realize that there probably is treatment improvement in that time frame, but I wish someone had told me this. Good luck with your treatment.

Thank you but as I am diabetic and the thyroid intereferes with my glucose control, I am gaining weight. So long as my glucose is reasonably normal my lipid profile is perfect.

Just wanted to tell peole that the common misconceptions are just that, misconceptions. When in doubt, ask your doctor.
