Welcome to United States. Where FDA and pharmas are rulers of the country and homeopathic remedies are being laughed at and ridiculed by mainstream medicine. Make sure to never move here.

Here, most food has chemicals. You can do everything to reduce the food you eat without the stuff, but eventually, you will have to buy someting with it.

Regarding yogurt, I love the brand Greek Gods. It is made the original way, and only has 3 ingredients. Very high in fat though, and double the cost. I can buy Dannon Natural for 2.50, which is not bad.

I like to limit antibiotics unless there is no other choice.

Oh, yogurt grows mold when it goes bad....
Happy to know there is another home kefir ferment-er on CD. I've been fermenting milk kefir and drinking it daily for about 18 months now.

No you don't.
I don't.

I haven't eaten food with chemicals or additives for over 30 years.

I just gave away grains for the first time, too. Put out the info on a local call-in radio program. Had to do it twice before I had any takers. The family I gave them to are using them in goat milk and says they are doing great. I ferment mine in ordinary nonfat milk from Walmart.

If you were taking a pro-biotic supplement i'd recommend taking it away from the anti-biotic ... at least an hour and it will not interfere.
After you've finished the course of anti-biotics then i'd start supplementing with a good pro-biotic and continue with that ... well, on into the future.
Yogurt is great (although personally i can't stand dairy products) but there are a number of strains of friendly bacteria that are not in there ... as opposed to a pro-biotic supplement.
This is an excellent and relatively inexpensive brand that i've been using for many years.
