As for me, my lowest was 145 because I was training for marathons.
My highest was 185, because I bulked up to play rugby.
Now I'm sitting in the middle at 165. Not to brag, but so as long as I stay reasonably active, I can eat like an NFL linebacker and not gain an ounce. I'm 5'11" by the way.

I am trying to like you all, really, seriously, I am, but when people are posting that their weights are 130 and they want to get back down to 100 when I am struggling so much with way more weight than that, I wonder.......am I the ONLY one who really struggles?

No, not at all.
Maybe everyone put me on ignore and can't read my post...lol...I'm being facetious ...but, I still haven't read a response to it....at any rate, scale numbers mean nothing in actuality. I explained it all in my post above ^^^...
If anyone is wondering how you measure body composition look for Body Fat Calipers (more accurate) or a hand held Body Fat Analyzer by Body Logic. However, the latter tends to be a bit "off" with readings.
If anyone belongs to a gym they all should carry them and it would be a matter of asking for a measurement.
Also a tape measure comes in handy to keep track of measurements.
DawnW,
Every woman I know struggles with her weight and the older we get the more we struggle. The metabolism seems to get slower with each passing decade. I guess we all know to lose weight you have to eat less and exercise more, but that's hard to do. I try to get on the scale each week, if the number is up I cut back on the food and only eat healthy stuff, if the number is down I eat small quantities of whatever I want. I try to exercise each day, sometimes I go for a long walk, sometimes I bike, sometimes I go to the gym, but I try to do something. I'm not perfect at this, but this method seems to work well for me and I look halfway decent. I also refuse to buy bigger clothes, so when my clothes feel snug I cut back. So no, you are definitely not alone with your struggle. I anticipate that it will be a lifelong struggle because my 90 year old mother in law is still trying to watch her weight.
I agree, citybythebay, I rarely get on the scales, too scared to anyway!! But do try to stay in a size 10. Have the old size 8s around here someplace, in storage, ha! Hopefully one day.....
Do you have fat clothes, skinny clothes, and average clothes in your closet?
I do and throughout the year I use all three sizes, but I refuse to buy any other sizes. 8 in the summer- 10 in fall and spring - 12 in the dead of winter. There I've confessed.
Height: 6 foot
Highest Weight: 210 (Alot of stress, eating alot) I was 20
Lowest Weight: 175
Current Weight: 183
Preferable weight: 170-175 (I wouldnt want to be less then 170)

You want sizes? I've got them all.
Let's see beginning with size 4 & weight 114-120 Ahhh those were the days, if only I could remember them. I had a little problem eating & my brain wasn't working up to par. It truly affected my memory.
Then there the 10's. I remember bragging that I was slimmed down to Oprah size when she lost all that weight. I inched up to the 12-14 range. Now, honestly, I'm in the 14-16 range. I'm leaning more towards 14 now due to my recent 8 lbs loss. Happy weight for me is 140-150 which should equal size 10-12.
BTW - MY husband is 5'10 and 200 pounds - he hates it
I think he looks great - I would not want him back to 165 at all
