I had an EGD Thursday because I was complaining about chest pain. The doctor said he found erytheme in the lower 3rd of the esophagus and took a biopsy and also found polyps in the fundus and took another biopsy. he said otherwise normal EGD.
When I woke up he said I had reflux and gave me some meds. I had a EGD and colonoscopy 3 years ago and he found polyps then also, but they were benign. Should I be worried I have them? I did some research and i found only 1 percent of the population has stomach polyps? he told me they are common and usually nothing, which mine were in the past. But now I am a bit concerned about it.
Anyone have stomach polyps and I am wondering if I should ask him to totally remove them.
