You have put together some very interesting photos, thank you!
I was very interested in those of desert scenes during the North Africa campaign of WW2 as my father in law fought under Monty against Rommel.
Several have been coloured, obviously photography was in black and white in Custer's day, a shame really. The technical quality of the photo of the early American battleship is outstanding, usually those old lenses had problems with edge resolution, but this image is outstanding.
I agree with Dewdrop on the date of the Chicago street scene, early sixties I would say. The soft top of the sports car looks like my TR4a, but the wheels don't look quite right and something is odd about the trunk- a Datsun 1600 roadster, in Japan called a Fairlady, would be my guess.
The women locked in a box is absolutely horrifying, makes me feel sick.

Good eye! I was thinking the same thing about the trunk. Looking at it again I agree it could be a Datsun.
