Hi guys,
I'd like to introduce you with a new website my (architect) wife just launched .
It's sort of a blog that shows cool interior designs, and the users can directly reach out to the designer, and also find links to cool professionals.
It would be great if you could give us some honest feedback - anything on your mind
Thanks!
amit

I like the look of the blog and it seems to be easy to navigate. Great photos! I like the wide range of styles and color schemes. Good luck!

I work on some websites so prepare for critique. Viewed on Mac in Google Chrome.

- FIRST LOOK I'm not sure what this is exactly. There is no explanation sentence telling what the site is, just a bunch of pretty pictures. Is this an Interior Designer, or an Architect, or a clip service of good ideas? Even though you may think your viewers are finding you on purpose it still should have a sub head that explains your offering. It is also required for SEO purposes as well.

- NAME To have to explain your title name is to lose. Further your explanation sounds more suited to the food industry. Additionally when a name is not familiar it should not be subjected to split graphics making it even harder to read and understand.

- NAVIGATION It was fussy when I click on About and Contact. Sometimes it came up and sometimes I get a big empty space with the photos screened white. I then have to scroll down to see if anything is there. After I figure that out I have no instruction on how to get back to home, but click on it in the screened back photo. The words at the top navigation bar should always be "live' and not screened back so I know how to get back immediately.

- CREDIT CIRCLES Those little white circles with the names of the designer in them are unreadable. And they don't click to enlarge. I think the reason they are unreadable is that they are "art" instead of live type. The font is very thin and slanted and at 72/96 dpi screen resolution it further makes it hard to read. The bottom line in the circle being grey is even harder to read.

At first I thought this was all your wife's design or her architecture. But there are many credits so that must not be it. So yes this must be a clip service like Houzz, of good ideas I really like the sources offered. Very nice modern design and professional photography and the layout is nice. But limited to only modern sources.

Thanks for sharing.

Kathryn & Kayekaye - Thank you very much for the feedback!! I really appreciate it.
Kayekaye - Very good notes, thank you for your time spent on writing your response - I will definitely take it into consideration
* BTW, Interesting that you couldn't see the "X" on the top right of the 'contact' and 'about' to close these popups (you're not the only one)
* I agree that the top line (logo + navigation bars) should be live when 'contact', 'about' are popped up
* Also, we work with big wide screen, so we definitely need to check out the graphics again to see that it is (at list) readable (the circles for example were added few days ago)

Hope you guys have a great remaining week
Amit
