Changing colours/materials takes a lot of time, so I'm not inclined to modify colours with the hope of hitting upon the right combination. However, you can use the interior perspective for colour studies. When you have a colour scheme, I can modify the components.
Thank you! I can get a general idea now and I think this is the right layout for the kitchen except what we said about the oven/fridge, which i will have to look at.
Are you talking about the oven and the hob? The reason i want the oven in a tower is because of the height. The one i have at the moment is under the hob and I hate it, you have to get on your knees to get things out or see if things are done.
I looked into getting a microwave drawer for my under counter microwave. They are pricey - in the $1000 to $1400 range, plus installation. And apparently, they are all made by Sharp, including the ones by Wolf and Dacor.
I ended up going with a standard microwave for about $150 on sale instead. It's a little low to look at the controls easily, but I don't find it that awkward to take stuff in and out. If things end up in the back of the unit, I run it for another second or two, so the carousel brings it back around to the front where it's easier to reach. (I learned that trick from my son, he used to do that when we had an over the range microwave and he couldn't reach to the back!)
Don't you have it built in on a tower or on the countertop?
