I used to babysit for someone who had an avocado-green refrigerator and I loved it. I would still buy an avocado-green refrigerator if I could find one. In the '70's I moved into a third-floor attic tenement apartment one summer when I was in college and the refrigerator was - hmm- it was either blue or black. If it was blue I painted it black and if it was black I painted it blue. Don't ask me why. And I didn't even smoke pot.

I've never had enough money to have any kind of current trend, so I always end up living someplace with something awful from the past. Growing up in the 70's we had pea green carpeting from the 50's and some pretty unbelievable floral wallpaper and vinyl flooring.
