Interesting re-do of a 1980s kitchen, especially the cabinets. (Scroll down in article to view slideshow of before/after photos.)

I do think the white trend is on the way out but I keep going back to white/cream when looking at remodeling my kitchen. But with white being on the way out I don’t want to spend thousands for an outdated trend. Plus I like white countertops but not with white cabinets. Our kitchen is small-medium sized and darker cabinets might make it feel too small.

Love the kitchen pics in the second post.

What color appliances should I do if I go with cream colored cabinets? I hate stainless, (it’s my OCD- can’t stand to touch metal) so it’s not an option for our kitchen. I’m leaning towards black. I like traditional, farmhouse, and Tuscan styles. Nothing modern. Any ideas?
