The kitchen in my home is rather small. The cabinet space takes up an L shaped format which is a 9'x9' area. I chose a dark cabinet finish, Maple Cognac and I have my heart set on Pure Ice Formica Solid Surface counters... now I just need advice on the wall color! There is a lot of light in the room, but remember it is still a small space. Any suggestions on paint color or tone?

I wish this was mine, but the doors are the same style and color.

This is the counter swatch. Little flecks of browns/blacks and bigger chunks of white.

Well guess who just bought a Shanendoah kitchen from Lowes and got taken for a ride. I wished you would have followed up on my posts Demodeoiva. I could have sent you to save a whole lot of money. Oh well, what's done is done. I like your choice in color for your SS tops. I also prefer SS over granite but few fellow Kitchen Designers agree with me there.

So you bought Shanenoah Brekenridge Cherry full overlay euro door. I love the color but hate euro styling. America has not fully excepted frameless cabinets yet and I hope we never do. But in Europe they hate our framed cabinets so go figure. The color happens to be my favorite by far and our version of it is our best seller many many years running. I would do yours exactly like the pic shows using stainless hardware as well as appliances. Nice!!!

As for Formica brand, they do tend to be more expensive then their competition such as the inventers of SS being Corian. And still more then Wilsonart and Silestone. But if you like the Formica brand because they have your most favorite color then go for it.

Good luck with your beautiful new kitchen !!!
