I'm making a lamp out of a great tall pink glass vase I found for my office. You can see through it and its like the picture below but a little taller. I know I want a white shade, but what shape would be best?
Are you putting decorative elements in the vase to hide the lamp parts? If so, that could play a part in which shape you choose. What object or design will the vase part represent? Or will it only serve as a support for the shade?
I'd want to decide that first, then bring the completed lamp with me when shopping for the perfect shade.
hi,
I can suggest you to use a shape which has many sides. You can try to find shapes like those in glasswares stores.. There are many different shapes and colors that you could choose from.
Either a drum or a square. If you're going more traditional, drum, if it's in the middle, square.
