I like the looks but am not a fan of the power train options. The 1.5t sounds coarse in both the civic and crv. No turbo 4 will ever be as smooth and delivery the power the way a good 6cyl will in my opinion.
If i was in the market today for an affordable midsize sedan I'd opt for the current Camry v6. Lots of deals out there to make room for the 2018's. I like the fact that Toyota's v6 doesn't come with vehicle cyclinder cutoff and it still comes with a trusty 6-speed auto.
2011-14 Hyundai Sonata/i45 is still influencing appearance of other midsize 4-doors, over half a decade since it launched!
Looks more like the current gen Sonata to me, only uglier. I hate that tablet looking thing that sticks out of the dash too, it looks like it's held on with velcro.
Man, I have always been a "car person", but it's getting to where there's just not many new models I like anymore.
The back of the '18 accord looks atrocious to me. Looks like the Sonata rear-end. Down right ugly IMO. I love the '16 through and through which is probably why I bought it last month.
What's interesting though is how sporty and gorgeous the '18 Camry looks. Looks like Toyota has bested Honda this time round which has never happened until now.
So they too moved the "shifter" to the column. Our C300 is like that and I always find myself searching for the knob. And what's that nav screen sticking out? I thought Germans were about to correct that mistake and now Honda picks it up?
nope, the shifter is located on the console next to the cupholders in the usual spot, no lever just buttons
I had an Audi with a Turbo 4 that pretty seamless. Good performance, not so great reliability... So we'll have to see if Honda has cracked the reliability egg in terms of high compression and turbos.
I think Honda has gotten entirely too fussy in their exterior designs but I actually like the looks of the new interior. I had a 91 Accord that I still think is an attractive/clean design. And the 08-13ish model was probably their most attractive interior/exterior combo to me.
This model looks like a cheaper version of a Maxima to my eye. Maybe the midcycle refresh will take care of the grill and some minor trim that will make it more attractive.
Looks like a cheaper version of Audi (they sure tried to copy as much as they could out and in).
However looks are just a small part of the appeal for me, most important it is handling and there it is just a Honda...so I'd rather get an older S4 instead.
I hate to say this but I am disappointed in the final design. I've owned nothing but Honda's since 1990, either an Accord or Pilot. My last Accord was a 16 model, which I thought was very sharp. This latest version just doesn't do it for me. Being a Honda retiree I hope they sell a million of em' though!
