I don't like the loud alky, nor the garbage-burning gal. At the same time, it's the noise, not the drinking, that I object to, and a guy burning trash or anything else that makes a bad smell is what's objectionable to me.

The rest of the choices are just lifestyle choices, I would as soon have bisexual Bokononists for neighbors as Ozzie and Harriet. So long as they are quiet, and otherwise don't bother me.

Although. Living out in the country, as we do, unless they are really noisy at night, the closest neighbors are far enough away that they don't bother me.

Um, I do not classify violent sex offense as a "lifestyle choice". I do not want that evil monster living next to me! And the dude who beats his wife? Um, no. My sister was abused, and I don't play that crap.

A hard drug addict. They usualy have other hard drug addicts coming over, and then they run out of money to pay their dealer, so they start looking around at who they can rip off... plus they can be violent, attack without warning, or be in your driveway when you come home from work begging for cash, or threatening. They don't care about their property and let it get trashy.

The bright side is that when they either die of an overdose or finally get foreclosed on, you can buy their house on the cheap. (Unless of course they're renters. )Then with a couple of gallons of bleach and a shovel you can make it into a nice rental house - and pick your next neighbors.

Wow, so many likely choices here! I have people of all races surrounding me. We're white. The family to one side is black (and very racist), the family on the other side is Asian (great neighbors, just very quiet and keep to themselves but always with a smile and a wave when we see one another. I'm glad to help with their grass when it gets too long and it's extra hot since I have a riding mower.) The neighbor who annoys me is the white guy across the street who's just weird and anti-social. He glares a lot and will not respond to any gesture to be friendly, even a wave when he's looking just makes him turn his back to you.

My biggest peeve are the first-gen immigrants who refuse to assimilate to our way of life. The tall fences go up to establish the 'family compound', 7-8 cars parked in a 4-car driveway with others on the grass, trash put out late for pickup and then allowed to remain 4 days until the next pickup day, way too many generations/extended family/renters in one house so they can pay the mortgage, numerous white work vans everywhere, etc.

When I saw details of the raid on the binLaden compound, I thought "Hey, that looks like some of the houses in *our* neighborhood!"

Don't multiple choice questions come with an "all of the above" or "none of the above" check boxes?
Or maybe this type of questioning/poll isn't really appropriate for this forum(?). Really, what does this have to do with remodeling, decorating, construction, energy use, etc.?
