I know a little about fengshui. But in China there are many people know that. It's interseting ,or unbelivable. Our forefathers began to reasearch fengshui 3000 years ago. Some theories are about the ghost, aha!
Just thought I'd post an update to this thread for those of us who were interested. I found a great book at my library with simple cures for a western point of view. Very easy & helpful. It's called "101 Feng Shui Tips for the Home" by Richard Webster, 1998 Llewellyn publication.
I know my opinion will not be welcomed but I think you all are nuts !! Yes I've been in "Feng Shui" homes. What a bunch of foolishness. Energy..your kidding right ??
Save the money you're considering spending on Feng Shui books and instead seek out a good psychiatrist that can steer you away from your self absorbed delusional nonsense and point you toward reality .
Be Well.
I respect your opinion. Before anyone passes judgement on another person's beliefs or practicies, please get informed. It's a big world out there. :-)
It's rather pompous and presumptuous of you to assume I know nothing of the topic simply because I don't agree with your beliefs. Infact I would go so far as to say it's an amazing leap of logic particulary in light of the fact that I said I had been in a number of "Feng Shui" homes. (casual friends) Logic however is never the strong point of proponets of any mystical movement, or belief system etc .
"please get informed. It's a big world out there." Indeed...it is

This is quite entertaining. Someone posts that anyone who attempts to practice any form of Feng Shui is self-absorbed and delusional--including approximately two billion people, from all walks of life, in their sweeping generalization. Then they call another poster pompous and presumptious.
I'm afraid someone here is many, many lifetimes away from being able to eliminate the Ego and remove the source of their unhappiness.

Yes, it's important to Feng Shui the cobwebs & dust bunnies from the Helpful People corner...
I think some of the principles in Feng Shui make for an attractive environment, in an Asian, simple, clear way.
But I personally don't think I'll lose money if you can see down a hallway or save money with a plant in the corner or whatever.
I once watched a TV show that went over a house room by room according to supposed F.S. principles. I was watching from my new dream house. Apparently I did absolutely everything wrong except where I sleep. I love my house and it feels great.
