I would not suggest this for those who have real jobs...I spent most of the winter out in the wood lot cutting down dead hardwood...I must have gathered enough wood to power the steam boilers on the Titanic...It was a lot of work avoiding using oil....but it kept me in shape.

My husband has been collecting our dead wood for two years. LOL. Now we just need to put the stove in. The manual that comes with the stove gives very precise instructions for clearances etc. We couldn't find a pre-made hearth pad with the R-value that it required, so we are making our own.
