Well, the stainless steel sink under the granite countertop at my house does not show the sink's rim. The hole is cut so that the edge of the granite all around the sink is about even with the edge of the sink. Also, the installer sealed the very small gap between the granite and the sink's rim with clear silicone. No food accumulates there, but I still wipe the sink with Clorox disinfecting wipes once or twice per week. This is done to avoid bacteria growth in the sink. The Clorox wipes I am referring to does not contain bleach and is granite and stone safe.
