Not long ago, I searched for a white & steel stove, and I found it very difficult.

Steel appliances are almost always matched with black (see photo below). Why is that?

I am not a fan of black appliances. I much prefer white or stainless steel. White and stainless steel sounds very cool.

That's just the way they make them. I have never seen SS & White.

To me if it is going to be SS appliance, it should all be all SS, with no black or white, just SS.

I personally like the black appliances the best, oh wait, that's why all my appliances are black.

Note that some newer stainless steel appliances are being matched with gray instead of black, as it blends in more (our LG French door refrigerator has gray sides).

Whirlpool's White Ice color scheme should be close. It might actually be a little more white than you mean. Instead of being stainless with white accent it's really white with stainless accent.

I wonder if Whirlpool's new line is expensive?

The color scheme seems to be trickling down into somewhat cheaper lines of theirs too. I was in Costco a couple weeks ago and they had a display of appliances in White Ice, with dishwasher, range, microwave and fridge I think, and the appliance features/prices were not at the outrageous top end. Although maybe those pieces are exclusive to Costco, don't know....

Here is their website Whirlpool® Ice Collection Freestanding

I sure think that looks expensive but we are living with a 22 year old Kenmore fridge that is still chugging along. Replaced an old Thermador range with a Dacor.

I am looking at options for a new house build and bracing for the impact of our choices LOL!

There is a less expensive freestanding range, $200 less MSRP at $999: Whirlpool® 5.8 cu. ft. Capacity Gas Range with AquaLift® Self-Clean Technology (WFG540H0AH White Ice) | There's also an electric one with the corresponding $200 drop. The electric ranges though, even the priciest one with the two ovens, all appear to have a black smoothtop still which defeats a lot of the effect. The grates of the gas ranges are a gray color. Not low low end because these are all still convection ovens and fast self-clean and so forth, but less than that "collection" link. The online Costco price for this gas range is $849 including delivery. I'd call that a midrange price.

There are two less expensive refrigerators that come in White Ice. The fridge on that page is a counter depth and they make 26 26 cu. ft. Whirlpool® Side-by-Side Refrigerator with In-Door-Ice® Plus System (WRS526SIAH White Ice) | and 30 Whirlpool® 30 cu. ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator with MicroEdge cu ft regular depth side-by-sides at $1499 and $1899 list. The French door only comes in the counter depth and costs even more listing at $2599. Costco sells the 26 cu ft regular depth at $1249 including delivery, install and hauling an old one away (although it's out of stock online right now). Again this seems like a midrange price. (They also sell that French door one at $2099.)

There's not a cheaper dishwasher, but it's $529 delivered at Costco. Still midrange.

The OTR microwave goes for a $20 discount at $349.

Or Costco sells a set for $2999, $23 more than the price of those 4 put together, but it comes with the next model up gas range, the one that's in the collection link.

Personally, where I'm living right now, I'd pay a bit over $500 for a dishwasher (although the one I got about 5 years ago I got a better discount than that), might pay $850 for a range although it would really be overkill here, and probably would not pay anywhere near $1250 for a fridge. But I think for a fair number of places these prices would not be out of line.
