No wonder I loved the grey tile. I love slate.

I like how well the floors turned out without any stain. And that one bathroom with the black and white tile. I have a bathroom that I'll be updating. I looked at that tile and the solid black hex in the matte finish. I can't decide between the two. I really do like yours, though. Very vintage. Your contractor is doing a wonderful job on your house.

Thanks.

The funny thing with the black & white tile, we bought it at Home Depot. We originally had another tile that was basically the same except the tile was smaller. It was a special order and a bit on the expensive side. Before we actually paid for it, we took a walk around the store and found the bigger tile-it wasn't a special order and so much cheaper. So, we canceled the special order and bought the tile that they had on the shelves.

I know the tiles you are referring to. I came close to buying the black hex tile in the matte finish. Was going to use black grout with it. I'm still on the fence about it so before I commit, I want to make sure there isn't something else out there more appealing to me. Nothing worse than putting tile down and then finding something you like better.

We went with black grout. It really looks great.

Personally, the one feature that I think I like the best was how the fireplace came out. I showed my sister the pics and at first she asked if we rebricked the entire thing or just put up a brick facing. When I told her it was just painted, she was surprised. She is going to use that as ammo to get her husband's approval to paint their fireplace which he doesn't want to do.

The fireplace turned out nice, too. I wish more people who paint their fireplace would go with the red brick instead of some of the colors I've seen. From your video, it looks just like red brick and mortar. Good job.

He sure is. Wish he lived in my area. I'd have him over here finishing up my work.

Maybe he'd be interested in a work-vacation in the State of Confusion.

We do have a lot of very talented people working on the house.

BTW, I am also from the State of Confusion. (I tell that to people all the time.) But, these days it seems like I am living at Home Depot.
