It is a similar question. Personally we have had better experiences with Kenmore (Whirlpool). Years ago I found GE appliances to be a little cheaper but more expensive to repair. But that was more than a few years ago and I don't know if it still holds true.
On top of that imported brands have made major inroads in the American market since we last bought major appliances
A little information about who makes what in the major appliance field.
Since some of these are contracted suppliers, I would guess that the accuracy is somewhat subject to ending dates of contracts. I do know that Whirlpool makes a fair share of certain Kenmore appliances (family member works for Whirlpool).

In my experience GE appliances tend to be shoddy. I'd go with Whirlpool, Hotpoint, LG, Bosch, Viking or Frigidaire. May be a little more expensive but lasts much longer.
Kenmore can be hit or miss. Some are immortal and some last a very short time.
