I'm looking to remodel my master bath. The modern stand alone tubs look amazing. However, my bathroom isn't enormous. The tub would be less than a foot from the wall. How does one clean behind the tub?

If cleaning behind the tub is your first concern- it's probably not the tub for you. Those tubs- sad to say- are more about aesthetics than function.

I always thought the free standing modern tubs looked like giant gravy boats...and cleaning around them must be a real challenge.

If they're installing a tub like this they probably leave that detail to the house cleaners.

Why? We talked about a free standing - actually a claw foot - and we don't have any house cleaners.

I have heard about mops that can swivel behind tight spots such as toilets. I don't know the name.

Why would you clean where no one can see?
