Just started about a week ago. Certain lamps and some ceiling lights flicker intermittently. Not all lights; not all rooms; just certain ones. I've checked that bulbs were tight. Anyone have advice?
Sounds like perhaps work is being done on one phase of power that comes into the house. Or perhaps work needs to be done.. either way, it's likely not in your house, it's probably the power feed to your house and is likely a ways back up the line.

This has possibilities, but all of the fixtures would need to be on at least two different circuits and those circuits would have to be on the same half of the breaker panel.
If not the case, it's quite possible that there are some loose wire(s) @breakers.

Thanks in advance.
I noticed this on a windy day when I was following an inspector around a house I'd made an offer on. When I climbed up to the roof I was appalled to see the power line from the street had rubbed its insulation off on the metal sleeve (sorry, I don't know the real name for this thing!) sticking up from the house and was shorting out on it. I didn't buy this place (whew!).
It might be Loose Bulb, but it is unlikely. It’s possible that the switch of the fixture will wear out. You can determine if the switch is causing the flickering by jiggling it gently to see if this induces a flicker. Voltage Fluctuation this problems may require the service of a professional.
