When we had our ceramic floors installed, they also sealed the grout. I don't want to scrub them with something that will remove the sealer. What can I use?

Sealers don't last forever. If you are starting to get a buildup of dirt/stains, then it's time to clean the grout lines thoroughly, and reapply a good sealer. They make special bottles that have a small roller wheel that works well in a reapply situation.

Grout cleaner might work.

Sealers get all over the tile anyway. I do not usually take the time to try to put it just on the grout (that takes an immense amount of time), just spray the whole thing.

I have not yet seen ay detriment to the tile, and doing it that way means I will actually seal the grout rather than putting it off because it takes too long and is too tedious.

I have tried so many things to clean my grout. Other than "painting" I am at my wit's end, so if you find something that works, please share. Thanks.

Mapei.... Ultra-Care Heavy Duty Stone Tile & Grout Cleaner. This is a micro-bead type cleaner similar to Soft Scrub, It needs to be agitated rather than heavy pressure-type application. Read the directions before you start. Before. You. Start. This product works. After cleaning, seal with AquaMix Sealers Choice Gold, or any comparable grout sealer. Mapei, Dupont, Miracle... They all make good ones. We've recently been using DuPont Bulletproof Grout Sealer. Good Luck!

We used a kind of grey grout. If it is dirty, it does not show. It does get some soap scum on it but it is barely visible. I sometimes scrub it with an old toothbrush, but it takes hours, so I just do a bit at a time.

Seriously, Clorox toilet bowl cleaner. Just make sure to get the white kind with the bleach. Will make it look new and then reseal once totally clean. Don't even gave to scrub really, by the way. Just let sit about fifteen minutes or so, light scrubbing if you want, and clean off with water.

I used a steam cleaner like this

http://www.amazon.com/BISSELL-Steam-.../dp/B001EYHAGS

along with this - it says carpet cleaner but I had read somewhere that it worked well on grout and other cleaning jobs

http://www.amazon.com/FOLEXPORT-FSR1...1NET4XPM1HNVYB

I sprayed the Folex, let it sit for a minute and then used the hose and scrubbing attachment on the steamer, scrubbed off the grout between a couple of tiles and then wiped off with a clean rag.

Yes, it was an incredibly labor intensive process, but the results were amazing, it seriously looked like it had been re-grouted. My kitchen was an interior kitchen without any windows and cleaning the grout made it look so much lighter and brighter. I did this before getting it ready to sell, and felt like an idiot that I hadn't done it sooner to get to enjoy how great it looked.
