I paid about $80 for once a week for a 5000 sq ft house. It was all marble flooring so she just vacuumed and mopped and just cleaned up (I'm a clean person)
To the person who sent me a message re giving cleaning person a raise-her stated charge to me was $55-previous girl was $60. Our home is the cleanest, neatest home she has and that is according to her. She is in and out of here in 1 1/2 hrs. and I pay her $60 plus if she does "extra" I give her $70. So I am far from cheap as you implied!!!!!!!!!!!!
It also depends on WHAT your cleaning person does. If you keep a clean house and the cleaning person just comes in to do some of the up keep. then you would probably not need to pay as much. I paid $100.00 a week in CA for about 4 hours of work. I supplied the cleaning suppleis. Our home was 2,500 sq ft home. Sometimes she wouldn't stay that long and other times she stayed longer. We just had a set rate. Now if I had a really messy home and lots of heavy work I would expect to pay more. What you have to pay someone to clean your home depends on what that cleaning person has to do!!!

If your cleaning person is happy that is what matters. She knows what she is worth and sure wouldn't be cleaning your home if she felt she wasn't getting enough money! My cleaning lady had several homes she was in and out of in an hour or two and she charged accordingly. I think what you pay is more then fair! I'm sure your cleaning lady is very happy!!
50.00 per hour to clean? most people clean, and keep the home clean.
if you are in business, the gas etc., is your problem. most people know the house and what they need to do, and 4 or 3 hours they are done. 50.00 is crazy! per hour? If you work, the gas etc., is your problem. If you work for a company they may or may
not insure you-most cleaners are indepent contractors, and do this because they enjoy it, and the people they clean for.
at Christmas it would be kind to give a tip, or gift. Maybe D. Trump, and I don't think would pay 45.00 or 50.00 to clean.
75.00 seems fair for 3 hrs.
