I think spelling the numbers out as words looks pretty, but I would not want that for my own home. For practical reasons I prefer LARGE, easy-to-read numerals, prominently posted, instead. I get my neighbor's mail too often as it is. And as mentioned above, in case of fire or other emergency easily read numbers are essential.

Spelling out your house number is the equivalent of making watches with no written numbers.
