Do small appliances count?
I have a Sunbeam electric skillet that dates back to the early '50s!

When a Great Aunt died, back in the '70s, there wasn't much in her apartment that was worth salvaging, but I did want something to remember her by, so I "adopted" her electric skillet. It still works flawlessly, and I even have the original instruction booklet!

1952 Chambers Model C stove, original to the house that was built in 1952. And, a 1952 Mission wall space heater in the bathroom.

My 1922 home has the original 1922 central furnace in the basement... works like a charm too.

I still use my Grandmother's Elextrolux Vacumm from the 1930's...

Also have my Great Grandmother's toaster and GE fan... about 1920.

Mom is still using her avacado Sears Kenmore Washer Dryer pair from 1968...

Last year she called to say the Dryer died and asked if I could get her a new one... I came over and found it was only the belt... less than $5 at the appliance parts store and boy was she happy...

Have an old 1940 Wedgewood Stove with wood on one side and gas on the other...

I really believe in not buying new for the sake of replacing old... in fact the older something is the more attached I am... just like my first car... a 1929 Model A Ford...

So,

Refrigerator, ovens, gas range, dryer are all 16 years old. I did have to replace a relay and the ice maker in the refrigerator a year ago.

Dishwasher died earlier this year, so it is a few months only.

Washer died about 2 years ago.

Microwave seems to be on its last legs.

No clue on my hot water tank, and my heat pump needs to be serviced.

Based on this limited sample, looks like appliances start dying off at 15.
Uh-OH! Replaced all the appliances when I bought this house 14 years ago! Need to hurry up and sell the house before I have to replace everything!

My double oven ... 1960 house and I am pretty sure the ovens are ORIGINAL to the house ...

I actually just started a kitchen remodel -- will be replacing the double ovens with this ...

What I have liked most about my 1960 ovens is that one is "normal size" (on the large size) and one is "medium." Since I live by myself most of the time, I typically use the "medium" size. When I started searching for new ovens for my remodel, I tried to duplicate that -- double oven, 1 large and 1 medium, in black (since I hate stainless steel). Alas, turns out it's just about impossible to find UNLESS one of the 2 is a microwave (as in the photo above). Since I would want to use the 2nd (smaller) oven for "regular" cooking (not just microwaving), I found one with convection cooking in both ovens. Couldn't believe it was so hard to find that (not to mention expensive! ).
