If it’s what I think you mean, yes, deal breaker. We are childfree and I crossed out a huge percentage of houses just based on noise issues alone - we wanted at least one dedicated gaming / movie room (which ended up being a downstairs bedroom, with the rest upstairs) that was virtually inaudible from the master so that I could game or watch movies and not disturb my wife, or the other way around even. Too many houses had this grand living room area that opened to the top floor so every single bedroom can hear whatever is being watched in the living room. I’m completely baffled by this, I don’t understand who lives this way?! Why would it be assumed that the entire house should hear the living room or that soundproofing isn’t needed within a home?? Soundproofing is more important inside of the house sometimes - like with a quiet neighborhood - than it is outside.
Noise issues are huge in a house especially if you have more people in the house.
