Two years old, I agree.

But oak versus the (probably pine) 2x6's that were there? Is that a solution?

August of '08= 2yrs ago? Man, my math must be getting real bad.

Based on the information that was given at the time- there's no telling. But, from what I could read into it- No.

I see the threads as an archive as opposed to a conversation. While I don't make a point of responding to dead threads, when they come alive I like to see the right answer end up in the thread. So, I glad we have added to the record. Taking a slipshod bracing and improving it by a grade bettter of wood is not a good ending for thread. In fact, being new here, I am tempted to go back and visit some of these older threads.
