When I was growing up we lived in eight houses and one townhome. In all the places we lived, our house in Detroit, Michgan was possessed. I kid you not! Many of you know that I am a strong born-again believer, and I've experienced some whacked out stuff in my life. However this was truly the scariest thing ever. There was a kid who hanged himself in our house before we moved in. The sellers did not disclose that their son killed himself. One night my youngest brother who was in elementary school at the time went into my dad's office in our basement. He saw an apparition standing there and it said "what the hell are you doing in my room?" Then he saw a noose hanging in the closet. He turned to run and the apparition was blocking him from leaving the room. He didn't know about the 19 year old killing himself.
We didn't know about this while we lived there, as my parents were wise enough to not tell us. But we had many bad things happen to us while we lived there.

My mom saw a little girl in the neighbor's upstairs window across the street. They were an older couple and so my mom assumed it was their granddaughter. When my mom talked to the woman one day she mentioned seeing the little girl. They didn't have a grand daughter. The woman replied, "oh you saw our ghost".

While these topics creep me out to no end, just wondered if anyone else has ever experienced stuff like this. And do you think it's cool or are you like me and can't stand it? I can't go see any movies like Amityville Horror.

Back in 1969 my dad moved us to Canyonville, Oregon where he took a deputy position in a nearby town. I can't remember if it was Myrtle Creek or not, I was pretty young then.
But the house we moved into was an old traditional wooden house with a full attic gable and that was divided into two bedrooms with a staircase dividing it.
I never noticed anything, but my sister was constantly complaining of her toys floating around. We were told that an old woman had lived there before and died by falling into the blackberry patch alongside the house. Her name was Mrs. Bell.
I don't know if that place was haunted or not, but my sister still gets white when we talk about that house.

Default I was wondering...

...if this topic had been ~raised~ and I had somehow missed it.

Really cool topic, my favorite as a matter of fact. Can anyone say Art Bell?

Our house is inhabited by a spirit or two. Maybe for the skeptics I should say we have had several events, very strange and definitely inexplicable events. We have singers, which may be Native Americans, heard by family members at night. And we have almost inaudible voices which I have personally heard on only one occasion. But no bad vibes whatsoever. So we burn burn cedar or sweetgrass and leave them be and they leave us be.

I've had relatives come to me after they passed but never a stranger associated with a house. That would spook me out completely. I'd have to run.

My father turned down buying a house he loved because someone had hanged themselves in the attic. My mother contends that the house her mother died in has a curse as everyone who moved in had someone die right after. She scares me sometimes.

I'm not sure if it can be possessed or not but I certainly believe it can be repossessed. Please someone salvage my reputation on this one.

Shortly after my mom died I would occasionally catch figures of what appeared to be a person, scared me a bit. Was it a ghost or just my mind playing tricks on me? Not sure, guess I'll never know.
