Well Im about to buy a house in the Richmond area ( currently lives in Houston) cause of my job and I wanted to see about these two neighborhoods. One of my co worker said that he heard that it really hight crime in those section but Ive been looking and cant find any topic or writing on them. Also where can I find out the crime,population ect for different places to live at? Any websites or something????

Uh...I don't think you've been looking too hard, because if you search this forum for the phrase 'Grand Mission' you are going to retrieve many interesting threads.

I cut through that way sometimes (Grand Mission Blvd) on the way from Sugar Land up to Katy. I haven't see Lakemont, but from the outside Grand Mission looks no different from Cinco Ranch to me... just a regular nice master-planned community. I didn't see anything that looked like a red flag as far as appearances or upkeep... maybe those problems were happening when the HOA was still developer-controlled and before residents were handed over control of it (that seems to not be uncommon)...

Grand Mission has experienced several break-ins and driveway robberys. I beleive Lakemont was in the news this week for some type of crimianl activity. I currently live in Pecan Grove (16 years) and love it. Moving this week to Royal Lakes Estates in Richmond. You should check out both communities.

Come on!! this is not a thread.This is the truth!!! There is nothing wrong with Grand Mission. It is a nice place to live and raise your kids :-)

Nice houses. Nice facilities. Nice environment.
