Just wanted to say that for all the bad rep Houston gets, I think it is a pretty awesome city. Can't wait to come back

Great roads, nice big houses which cost far less than other places, things are inexpensive, relatively good economy (what is great about it is that its diverse). etc..

So what are some things you people love about Houston?

Our family just spent 4 years in Canada, we moved there to be closer to relatives, but damn it after living in Houston Canada seems crappy.

I love the mild Winters, love the diversity, love the food. Love the shopping, love all the ethnic stuff I can find in specialty stores, love the friendly people, love the parks, and museums, love the theaters, I love so much

I love the fact that even though I got a late start working in the real world, in Houston I can STILL own a nice house in a nice neighborhood with excellent schools and low crime - easily in my lifetime! Sure there are tradoffs, but I am a bang-for-your-buck kind of person (bought a Palm Pre Plus instead of iphone, got a Nook instead of a Kindle, I turn one meal from Kelly's Kountry Cookin into 3) and Houston is that kind of a city.

The people - the city's greatest resource. Can-do attitude coupled with real authentic friendliness.
