# 1 city for Business. #1 in job creation in the state that created the most. # coolest city according to Forbes, etc.
But we are boring.

If you cannot entertain yourself in Houston, sorry you are just a moron. No fix there.

We have year round arts and entertainment. Art/cultural fairs and parades, Museums, theater, opera, symphony, all major sports with modern stadiums/arenas. Parks, shopping, beaches, broadwalks, restaurants galore, bars, pubs, clubs, galleries. Etc, etc, etc.

Bored people sound more like lazy whiners to me. Get your butt in your car; stop being cheap and FILL up the tank and drive outside your little neighborhood and EXPLORE.

Houston has a lot to offer like any big city, but the downside to me is the awful traffic congestion and the high percentage of non-Texans living there. It is the least "Texan" of the major Texas cities IMHO.

I can't remember the last time I was stuck in serious traffic; and I live in central Houston. Is the congestion really that bad? Seems worse in Austin in my opinion...

It is cheap to live?

A lot of people make choices like live to work. Those who like to be outdoors and live where people come to vacation sometimes make the , "Work to live" choice.

Tell me more!!

But you're right. Houston has plenty to do if people like to explore new things. Just this weekend the SO and I tried out about 3 new places we've never been to before and had a great time. We constantly do this whenever we have time.

If you aren't getting stuck in traffic, then you aren't really getting out much. I try to avoid going outside of my area between 4 and 6. Really, when a 10 mile trip takes 45 minutes have some traffic.

I get out quite a bit - I just don't have to go that far. Woodlands Mall isn't really on my radar...
