The Navy Seals handled this one for us. I'm sure their brethren in the Army and Air Force would love to have their chance to mop up.

And if the terrorists don't like it, they can tell it to the Marines.

Thats because are government used their brain for once, and didn't tell any other nation about the plan. And only a few people in the federal government knew about it.

People shouldn't be giving him credit for something he had little to do with other than being at the right place (White House) at the right time (now).

The CIA and other agencies said it took EIGHT years to get to this specific level of intelligence to have the fix on UBL.

Don't forget he wanted to close Guantanamo in 2009. Yet, yesterday's mission was successful because of direct intelligence (tips) from a Guantanamo captive!

It's sad that some want to use this as an election platform rather than just celebrate it for what it is - a national victory and a big win for the Western world and freedom.

Mcchrystal totally blows. Obviously firing him was the first step.

Oh stop thanking the special forces. They're not drafted whiney teens who got something better to do.

Yes we can!!

There's a policeman in our neighborhood who was a marine sniper for several tours. I recently saw somebody driving a white pickup that had a sticker which said, "God bless the marines; especially for snipers" (paraphrased)

I bet the truck belonged to that Marine.

Back up a sec, closing Gitmo does not equal letting all of the captives go and no longer pursuing intelligence from said captives. A lot of people played a role in this, for a number of years. At the end of the day though, he is the Commander-in-chief and gave the ultimate go-ahead... for that he should be given credit.

Come on. They shot him in the face. 'Good job'.

The CEOs get credit/blame no matter who execute the trades.

I think there's more to the mission than just putting a bullet in his head. Hell anybody can pull a triger, thats the easy part. Most people don't have the stones to do what these guys attempted to do. That's why their called special forces. They do the most dangerous work, and get the lest amount of credit. So I think they deserve the accolades their getting.
