Hi, there:

I was a oracle DBA before I had my daughter. I quited my job when she was 6-month old. She is 6-years old now and I am thinking about going back to work. I don't have to go back as an oracle DBA. I just want to find something I can handle comfortablely to start with. I understand it may be difficult because I have left the "field "for so long. I just want to get some ideas how possible and how hard it will be....

Any feedback is appreciated...

Thanks,

Judy

Congratulations. You are now retired from DBA. You can go back to school just for fun.

Seriously, the IT career tanked in 2001 and so it might be a challenge to get back on career track. Try to call your old college professor in the computer department and get some advice. They usually know what's going on.

I have a friend who (I believe) is an Oracle DBA, and she is just switching jobs, leaving her old one open. I can contact her and see if they've hired to replace her yet, if you'd like.
