Check out the Washington Ave strip..lots of places to hit up.

Drinks Houston is brand new, and is filled with people from all walks of life. Always jumping on Fridays and Saturdays.

Start there!

Drinks Houston or Drink Houston?

The later is old news & is located off of the Katy Freeway. Its probably been around for the past 9 or 10 years.

I wouldn't recommend that place to someone in their 30's unless you don't mind dancing with a bunch of young 20 year olds. The crowd is also predominately young urban Latinos if you catch my drift. Just be sure to wear your bullet proof vest.

Washington Strip, Midtown, Flying Saucer downtown, and there are a sprinkling of things in between. some areas may be more heavily a younger crowd. I'm starting to feel too old to be on Washington

Richmond Arms outside the loop, Stag's Head in Museum District, Catbirds on Westheimer in Montrose, the Davenport in Museum District are more laid-back bar scenes with a mix of types but is a little older imo

Washington Ave is for the d-bag crowd. If paying too much for over-priced drinks is your thing, enjoy! Drink Houston is ghetto, when you go to The Improv, they even bang on it. Montrose has a good mix of baggy places and bohemian places. It is very spread out, but there are a couple of cool places in the Heights. There are also some decent places downtown (like Flying Saucer which was mentioned).

Can tell you don't get out much. It is not "Urban Latino"...it's a nice mix of people of all races. There is a dress code BTW.

It was torn down and rebuilt...the club is BRAND NEW, with new rooms and lounges...6 rooms now, I believe, where the old club had 3. And age varies. You have people from mostly in 20s - 40s.

Bullet Proof vests at Drink Houston? Really? The sissyness of many of the posts on these boards never ceases to amaze me.
