Default Hard to tell exactly....

For sure it is NOT an oak. It looks like Hackberry, or Chinaberry tree to me judging by the bark of the tree, it's smooth, oaks are not.

Definitely not a River Birch.

Looks like an American Beech Tree to me. Wish I could see the bark closer

I'll get a picture of the bark up soon, good idea! For now though, it's smooth, white or sliver with distinct orange patches here and there.

Do you know the owners? Could you ask them? If they didn't know you could take a sample of the leaves and a picture to any tree nursery and they could probably tell you.
