I recently moved here from Canada and my son is going to kindergarten (private school in Sugar Land) and will be moving to 1st grage this fall, his current school is good but I believe not challenging enough. I am trying to find some private school in Sugar Land and in Houston area and have come accross some very good private schools though very expensive (Kinkaid, St John, Village etc), I 've missed the dead line for some of them. I am reaching out to this community to get some help in finding a right private school for my son.

Both my kids went to St.Laurence. Not impressed. We were very happy with Honor Roll School (2808 Alcorn Oaks Dr Sugar Land, TX 77479-2549

It is now called Fort Bend Christian Academy. Also try Calvary Episcopal in Richmond.

Don't know if you're still looking for schools or not but try Grace School...right down the beltway. I have a friend who enrolled last year and loves it.

I work at Calvary Episcopal in Richmond; small, very dedicated school with strong academics. Although we have a small college-prep 9-12 program, most of the kids go on after 8th grade to the competitive private high schools in Houston. Many of the boys attend Strake. A few go on to their zoned public high schools depending on which they are. If you want more info message me, I'm a fairly picky parent when it comes to schools and have experience with some other private schools and have at times been very unimpressed.
