Signs with Buffalo. Six years $100m ($50m guaranteed). I know he was injured last season, whatever way you look at it, this is a big loss for the Texans.

Not that big of a loss. You didn't notice when he was gone last year. I'd keep him if I could but not for that kind of money. He's injury prone and his production doesn't match his salary. Texans need a incredibly good draft this year to help patch up all the contract mistakes rick smith made because we are about to lose over half of our offensive line as well.

Maybe it is a lack of passion? I think that has been one of the knocks on him. This guy was only a two-time pro-bowler, and people are talking aobut him like he is LT or something. I am much more worried about the loss of Eric Winston and possibly losing two more of the starting o-linemen.

How is it a big loss when the team had their best year ever and they had their best defense ever without him? He only played in 5 games.

Unfortunately the Texans have massive cap problems which only get worse next year which means they cannot bring everyone back. Mario Williams was good, but based on the Texans performance on defense without him last season made him expendable.

I know this is gonna be an unpopular statement, but I would like to get rid of Andre Johnson and pick up a pair of good receivers. He has missed parts of 3 out of the past 5 seasons.

Before he got injured, didn't he have something like 6 sacks in 5 games? When healthy he is arguably the best defensive player in the game. And the 'best defense ever' comment was due to a new scheme not necessarily personnel.
