I just moved to Houston from Georgia to the Royal Oaks Country Club, a gated community, on westheimer and kirwood. I'm an upcoming 11th grader and am looking for a good school around the area. I know that I'm on the Alief ISD but have hear that the public schools in this district are very bad and "ghetto" because of the crowded apartments and wore down houses around the area. Are there any good public or even private schools in my area and may I be able to go to a school in another district? Thank you!!!

I think Kerr is the good school in that district, but i think you have to test to get in? Look around on this forum about school in Alief (Use the search toolbar). Nearby, there are good schools in zip 77077.
