Where is the best store to buy andouille around here?

Especially any options in the Champion Forest-1960-Willowbrook-ish area.

Heberts meat market has good andouille. It's all the way on the west side thought at dairy ashford near I-10. I think the HEB at louetta and stuebner should atleast have some Savoire's though, which is what I use for my gumbos.

Hebert's is on Richmond inside the loop too. Pick your poison.

Spec's in midtown has Poche's too.

Thanks for the replies!

Spec's as in the liquor store? I don't think I've been to one of those yet.

Yep. Spec's is a local liquor store legend. The one in mid-town on Smith has EVERYthing booze-wise and a damned good deli to boot. Not all Spec's are as spacious and sku-filled as the flagship in midtown.

LOL... Just realized that it might be worthwhile to Google "andouille Houston" and felt sheepish that I hadn't done that before posing the question.

So I Googled it and found out there are also some Hebert's scattered around too!

Now I have quite a list to try. Previously the only place I'd bought andouille was a grocery store in Dallas called Sprouts. They had it fresh in the deli area case. I've never bought packaged before.

I really appreciate the recommendations. Personal opinions are really much more valuable to me than the Google search results, which can be iffy sometimes.
