I need to see a specialist at some point, but because I have an HMO I have to get a referral from my PCP first. Problem is, I haven't been to a doctor since I've moved here and so I don't have a PCP yet.

I don't really like my wife's, so I'm looking to branch off. Anyone have a recommendation? My top criteria is that they can make an appointment for me when I need one (assuming they are competent...)

I live in Eagle Springs, but would be fine going up to Kingwood if necessary. I have Cigna as my healthcare provider (so they obviously need to be in that network, but if you're not sure I can check that on my own once I have names).

Are you part of the Eagle Springs FB page? There are lots of suggestions for PCPs on there. As an Eagle Springs resident myself, I've found it very helpful. They just made it a close group, so if you aren't a member of that forum, PM and I will get you invited!!
