Can anyone suggest the best home builders in the Katy area who build "tract" homes for under $200,000? I am looking for a 3/2, no more than 1850 square feet (or less). Every one I've looked at has a slew of terrible reviews and I don't want to be one of the people complaining as soon as I move in.

Better to just buy a recently built home int he neighborhood you are looking for. Chances are it will be cheaper.

You can look at Taylor Morrison. They have smaller homes in the 50 ft section at Churchill Farms that could fall in your budget.
