Is each one of the buildings in Reliant park independent businesses that don't have anything to do with each other?

I don't know the answer, but I would think is run by the same people
If Reliant stadium makes money, why can't that money be used for maintenance of the Astrodome or fixing it to be reused.

And indoor sky diving??? Are you kidding? Amusement Park????? The ski slope idea was shot down a while ago. That was some Saudi's thought about it. Obviously, you can't put in a casino because that would be illegal. Seriously, face reality. It will be a parking lot. We can at least get a shot at a superbowl. Get rid of that really ugly structure. And stop wasting millions of dollars.
If the lege will pass the bill allowing casinos we can make it into a casino. May I ask why you are so concerned with the Superbowl?

They will NEVER pass it in Houston. It might come to Galveston. I want to host a super bowl because it brings hundreds of millions of dollars into the economy. May I ask why you are so intent on keeping an aging structure alive?

Reliant Park are all related. Harris county owns the entire property and everything on it. This is all paid for by the tax payers. So, you are asking the people of Harris county to maintain a building that has no viable use.

Yes, these things do exist. There is one in Austin, I'm not making this up:

The great thing about the Astrodome is you have plenty of space for a nice vertical drop...

Some of you guys can keep hoping and dreaming.

When they were talking about turning it into the world's largest soundstage for film, I was so exciting that I actually signed the petition, since many of you think I don't support my former hometown just because I give it criticism.

It would be cool if they did turn it into a casino but the legalization of gambling in Texas just isn't going to happen for a loooooonnnnngggg time if ever.

I would actually travel to Houston to play nlhe poker if they legalized gambling in Texas.

Turning it into a theme park is HIGHLY unlikely.

The Astrodome still sits idle.

It would be a dream if they could do something useful with it but its future looks grim.

It needs to get torn down if it's just going to keep on sitting there.

That looks like the likely scenario.

Agree w/blackjack. If it's gonna sit idle and keep wasting taxpayer's money, then it needs to be torn down. Otherwise do something useful to it NOW. Do not let it sit for another 10 years.

The Astrodome is way too big for that kind of thing. It costs 2 million to let it sit and rot. Think how expensive it is to be used for something. To cool it and power it. Not to mention a remodel.

If it was truly iconic it would've never been replaced by it's much more impressive predecessor next door.
