I think many parents in a Katy type environment gets too comfy. I think all of them think they deserve/paid for the peace of mind when they bought in the area.

rape, assault threats towards students and teachers alike, are both swept under the rug at k12.
i have been booed and ridiculed on CDF for years for even mentioning it.
probably by the people that do it.
the old crime was assault, the new crime is noticing.

So do we still think its the new comer immigrants that destroy established neighborhoods in Houston?

I don't have to have kids to know how a kid work. Kids get away with lots more than their parents think. Don't think you're that clever.

I'm a regular jar-jar binks when it comes to being a parent. Nothing gets by me.

the school district is going to review the tapes....determine she wasn't "raped".....and everyone is still going to blame the school....

i have a hard time believing she was "raped" under a stairwell and no one heard her yell for HELP, or she couldn't put up a struggle/fight and attract SOME attention.

kids will be kids and do things behind their parent's back without them finding out. but i would agree that the school should have told the parents about the drug issue when it first arose. there is no way for the parents to supervise their children 24/7. the parents can't be next to them at school, in class, in between class, and right after class....that's when kids get drugs and alcohol from other bad influences....and yes, i have kids... AND I WAS ONE TOO.

Parents can't supervise their child 24/7 but neither can a teacher or school administrator. Most parents are in denial thinking their child could never do anything bad.

I've had some experience with Katy ISD at a high level in their organization. Given the district's stellar reputation, I was amazed at how non-transparent the organization is and its general lack of professionalism.
